In the Lviv region on Saturday, February 3, protesters blocked the entrances to the checkpoints 'Shegyni' and 'Rava-Russka.' This was reported in the press office of the State Fiscal Service on Facebook.

"Near the checkpoints 'Shegyni-Medyka' and 'Rava-Russkaya-Grebenne' protest actions  are continuing. The movement of vehicles is temporarily slowed down, they are periodically passed in both directions," the report said.

Together with this, the deputy of Lviv City Council Igor Zinkevich wrote on Facebook that the protesters are dissatisfied with the law on the new order of crossing the border. According to Zinkevich, around 20 protesters are in the area of the above-mentioned checkpoints.

We recall, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law "On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine to ensure the balance of budget revenues in 2018" on December 8, 2017. On December 30, the law was signed by President Petro Poroshenko.

According to the provisions of the new law, each Ukrainian will be able to receive no more than three parcels per month without paying an additional fee, and the cost of each of them should not exceed 150 euros. Starting with the fourth parcel, such shipments will be subject to tax, duty and excise.

The fee will be 20% of the cost of the goods. The leaders of some postal services stated that the decisions taken by the Rada to limit the import of goods and parcels from abroad are controversial and may not have results.

Now the cost limit of the parcel is also 150 euros, however the number of parcels is not limited.
