Protest against verdict in case of journalist Veremiy murder takes place in Kyiv

Several hundreds of people came to the capital's Independence Square in order to protest against the suspended sentence of the case of the murder of Vyacheslav Veremiy, a journalist for the Vesti newspaper. Suspended sentence was given to accused of involvement in the murder. This was reported by the correspondent of "112 Ukraine" from the site of the event.

The organizer of the action is Masi Nayem.

As you know, journalist Veremiy was killed near Mykhailoivska Square in Kyiv on the night of 18 to 19 February 2014, in the midst of clashes with the Maidan members. According to investigators, the journalist's murder was directly committed by a resident of Horlivka (Donetsk region) Jalal Aliyev.

The court in the case of the murder held closed session. The case was considered for about 3 years.
