The Prosecutor’s Office of Chernihiv investigates the criminal proceeding towards the disappearance of the citizen of Ukraine at the territory of the Republic of Belarus. The press service of the Chernihiv Prosecutor’s Office reported this.
‘The pretrial investigation of the criminal proceeding with the preliminary legal assessment under the part 1, article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine towards the disappearance of the citizen of Ukraine who is possibly detained by the special services of the foreign country at the territory of the Republic of Belarus takes place under the procedural governance of the Chernihiv Prosecutor’s Office’, the message reported.
The investigation takes place first of all to establish the witnesses, circumstances of the incident and location of the lost person. The prosecutor’s office filed a request to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine to confirm the fact of the crossing of the border by the lost person.
Moreover, the procedural requests for the provision of the international juristic support are prepared to the relevant authorities of the foreign state to confirm or disapprove the fact or grounds for detention and tracing of the citizen of Ukraine and his location.
The investigation course of the criminal proceeding headed by the regional prosecutor’s office is under control.
Earlier, the officer of the Border Guard Service of Ukraine Igor Gryb published at Facebook that his son 19-years old Pavlo Gryb got lost in Belarus on August 24. His son went to Gomel to meet a girl with whom he got acquainted and communicated in the social networks.
He supposed that 'the Russian FSB lured out Pavlo to Gomel under the pretence of the meeting with a girl and then detained him'.
Igor Gryb noted that his son has the permanent disability and he should take maintenance medications and the absence of them will lead to the permanent consequences.
The Embassy of Ukraine in Belarus sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus to find out where Pavlo Gryb is.
