The process of releasing hostages is still blocked by the position of the militants. Daria Olifer, the Ukrainian representative in the Trilateral Contact Group, wrote this on Facebook.

“The release of the hostages remains one of the main issues of the Trilateral Contact Group’s work. This process remains blocked due to the unconstructive position of the militants: their representatives want 42 people, who have nothing to do with events in Donbas, to be released,” Olifer says.

As it was reported earlier, 137 Ukrainian citizens are believed to be kept hostage by the militants in Donbas.
