Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew shall officially sign Tomos tomorrow, on January 5, 2019. After the formal signing of the Tomos of Autocephaly for Ukraine, a divine liturgy shall take place, which will be followed by the handing the Tomos to Epifaniy, Metropolitan of Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

8:30, January 6 – Ukrainian public TV shall broadcast the ceremony of handing Tomos in Istanbul and the divine liturgy after the ceremony.
The procedure of granting Tomos, a document of autocephaly from the Ecumenical Patriarchate to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, will take place at St. George's Cathedral at the Phanar, Istanbul on Christmas eve.
Epifaniy, Metropolitan of Ukrainian Orthodox Church, together with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will pray at St. George's Cathedral. Bartholomew shall officially sign the Tomos and handle it over after the divine liturgy on January 6.
On December 15, the Unification Assembly in Kyiv elected the head of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, Metropolitan of the former Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kyiv Patriarchate (UOC KP) Epifaniy (Dumenko). On the same day, the archbishops adopted the charter of the new church.
Almost all hierarchy of former UOC of Kyiv Patriarchate, Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church (UAOC) and two archbishops of UOC MP (Moscow Patriarchate) took part in the assembly.
