On Friday, February 28, a citizen who is suspected of murder took a judge of the Odesa Prymorsky Court hostage and threatened him with a grenade, as OBOZREVATEL reports.

According to media reports, the defendant took out a grenade right during the trial. He pulled out the fuse, and threatened to blow everyone up.

As of 12:40, the building is cordoned off, the police are evacuating visitors and court employees. Hostage Special Operational Plan was introduced.

At 1:00 p.m., the police seized a grenade from the suspect. Negotiations with the invader were conducted by Oleh Bekh, the head of the National Police of Odesa region, the police press service said.

At 1:50 p.m., the issue of entering data on the event into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Art. 379 (attempt on the life of a judge related to his activities in the administration of justice) and Art. 345 (threat or violence against a law enforcement officer).

As we reported before, a man with the inscription ‘Conscience’ on his jacket burst into Odesa airport and demanded the evacuation of all people from its territory.
