It is worth noting that today, on May 8, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation. A memorable date always falls on May 8 - the anniversary of the surrender of Nazi Germany in 1945.

As we reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has honored the memory of those killed in World War II.

He laid flowers at the Eternal Flame on the Russian-Ukrainian border.

"The head of state visited Milove settlement which is divided by the border between Ukraine and Russia. In Milove, the president visited the memorial complex “Ukraine - to the liberators”," the statement said.
