The office of the President of Ukraine appealed to the Belarusian authorities with a request to stop the spread of encouraging statements about the possibility of crossing the Ukrainian border among Hasidic pilgrims stuck on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border. The corresponding statement was published on the website of the President's Office.

"We call on the Belarusian authorities to stop creating additional tension on the border with our state and not to spread false encouraging statements among pilgrims, which may give them the feeling that the Ukrainian border may still be open to foreigners," the statement says.
