President’s cortege hits 88-year-old pensioner in downtown of Kyiv

The official police car, accompanying person for whom the State Guard was held, hit an old man at the crossing of the Shovkovychna and Instytutska Streets, downtown of Kyiv as the National Police of Kyiv reported.

The suffered 88-year-old man was hospitalized. Preliminary, according to the doctors, the pensioner has the broken leg and concussion.

According to Ukrayinska Pravda, the car that hit a man was in the cortege of President Petro Poroshenko.

According to the police, the car accident took place at the intersection where a points-man worked.

‘The official police car during the movement of the cortege that accompanied a person for whom the State Guard was held, hit a pedestrian: a man suddenly came to the traffic way at the restrictive signal of the points-man’, the message said.

 A man got the first aid, the officers on the patrol called the ambulance.

The car committed the accident remained at the scene of the crime. The cars of the cortege continued to move.
