A prayer for peace was held in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra on July 20. Prayer service for the peace and the future of Ukraine was served by vicar of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Pavlo.

"I urge everyone, dear brothers and sisters, to one thing: peace and love. So that we may unite, pray for each other, and not see our neighbor as an enemy, because we have one enemy — our pride, the devil, who sows a turmoil in our heart. The Lord let people be both leaders and presidents either for merit or for God's permission. And today, I ask everyone who comes to power to act like the Christians and not to start any business without God in your soul. To pass laws for people, not against them,” said vicar Pavlo, addressing representatives of the Opposition Platform - For Life, who took part in a prayer for peace.

"We prayed today for peace, for prosperity to come in our country. For the era of war to an end. As well as the era of poverty and mediocrity that swept the country in the last 5 years. For the country to return to normal life. So that a person would feel protected and confident. For this we came here today," said MP Yuri Boyko, who, along with his party members, took part in the prayer.

"Our heart and soul brought us here. Today is a really important day for us because tomorrow the people of Ukraine will determine the vector of development of our country. And today we prayed that the Lord would help the forces of the world, the peace party, people who are ready to build peace in Ukraine so that their efforts were supported by the Ukrainian people. And today we hear very wise words from the Lord and received very good instructions," said Serhiy Liovochkin after the end of the prayer service.

MPs of Ukraine, members of local councils, and majoritarian candidates from the parties took part in the prayer service. The clergy and believers also attended it.
