According to tradition, participants of the Vyshyvanka festival carried a huge national flag up the Potemkin stairs in Odesa. The length of the flag corresponds to the age of Ukraine since its independence, as Dumska informs.
“The participants of the event, Ukrainian soldiers among them, carried a 26-meter flag up the Potemkin stairs, and at the top, next to the Duke de Richelieu monument, they performed the national anthem,” the message says.
As it was reported earlier, today Ukraine celebrates the National Flag day. Ukraine’s flag has already been raised in many places inside the country and abroad, including one in Antarctica.
