Portugal's parliament recognized the Holodomor of 1932-33 in Ukraine as genocide of the Ukrainian people. It was announced by the Head of the Union of Ukrainians in Portugal Pavlo Sadokha on Facebook.
Sadokha published the Portuguese Parliament's decision on the Holodomor in Ukraine.
As the local edition NoticiasAoMinuto says, the adopted document condemns the Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-33 and recognizes it as genocide on the part of "Stalin's totalitarian communist regime, which led to the deaths of seven million Ukrainian citizens."
