Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed a law of Ukraine on ratification of the agreement between the governments of Ukraine and the Finland Republic on the realization of the project ‘Finnish reform support of Ukrainian school. The law was adopted by the Ukrainian Parliament on July 3, 2018. The press office of the Presidential Administration reports.
‘The document provides the legal basis for the effective realization of the project and attraction of technical assistance of Finland Government in support of reformation general secondary education in Ukraine,’ reads the message.
It is noted that the agreement was signed in Kyiv on March 5, 2018.
According to the document, Finland provides on non-refundable terms, support in a total amount of 7 million USD for reformation of Ukrainian school. Co-financing from the Ukrainian side is not expected - instead, the state will involve competent civil servants in the implementation of the project, as well as provide a separate room in the building of the Ministry of Education for the project office.
