Pope Francis may visit Donbas if there will be peace in the region and "the time of brotherhood." This was announced during a visit to the occupied part of the Luhansk region, by the Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti, according to "RIA Novosti".

"When you will have calmness," the time of brotherhood", the Pope is sure to find an opportunity to come here and visit people, but you need an invitation from all sides," - he said.

According to the archbishop, at the moment Pope Francis can not personally come to Donbas, but he has a desire to visit this territory.

"You know that the plans are in the hands of God. He (Pope Francis - Ed.) would like to always be present wherever there is difficulties and patience. His desire and purpose is to  unite those people who are in disagreement, and help them to find a common language ", - said Gugerotti.

As reported yesterday, Pope Francis celebrated his 80th anniversary.
