Police qualify shooting in Kyiv as hooliganism

The guilty can be imprisoned up to seven years

The police of Kyiv opened the criminal proceeding under the article hooliganism of the Criminal Code of Ukraine due to the shooting at Vokzalna Square in Kyiv when three people were injured. The National Police of Kyiv reported this at Facebook.

‘The law enforcements opened the criminal proceeding under part 4, article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Seven years of imprisonment are provided under this article’, the police claimed.

Also, the police added that the suffered were hospitalized with the injuries of legs and hands and they received the first aid. One of the men left the hospital independently. The suffered refused to write the official statements.

The law enforcements search for the shooters, develop the circumstances of the conflict and communicate with the witnesses.
