The court in the Turkish province of Eskisehir on Saturday left under arrest the alleged commander of the terrorist group "Islamic State" (ISIS). This is reported by Hurriyet daily news.
A 41-year-old Iraqi citizen was detained by the Turkish police during a raid in a hotel in Eskisehir province as part of an investigation against ISIS on August 26. The full name of the suspect is not unveiled.
Earlier, the suspect was in an Iraqi prison on charges of plotting to assassinate former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. According to the publication, he escaped from prison with the help of representatives of the jihadist group.
Another four people suspected of having links with the "commander" of ISIS, after passing the necessary procedures in the police were sent to special centers for deportation.
