Workers of the National Police and the National Guard of Ukraine have been controlling the entry and exit checkpoints in the Ukrainian capital. The Interior Ministry's press office reported that.

This is a restriction measure taken in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 coonavirus infection; eight stationary posts are working on the major roadways, the message says.

Law enforcers have been checking if the drivers observe the limits of passenger traffic and carry the necessary IDs. The major goal of these measures is to explain and warn the drivers of the necessary safety measures. The police and the Guard employees also warn them that there's responsibility for disobeying the requirements. These are preventative measures that are specificaly aimed at those providing passenger services.

Every day, 80 Guards are involved in control procedures on checkpoints. All law enforcers are equipped with respiratory protection masks and sanitizers. Drivers and passengers understand the inconveniences. The law enforcers reported no major violations.
