"The name of the person who committed a number of crimes in Poltava today and who is holding a police colonel hostage is Skrypnyk Roman Mykolayovych. He was born on February 14, 1988," Gerashchenko wrote.
It is noted that the man was previously convicted several times.
"The desire of the criminal that prompted him to take a hostage and threaten to explode a grenade is not a desire to get behind bars for a long time. Nevertheless, it seems that the term of his imprisonment after all these actions will be much longer," the Deputy Interior Minister added.
As we reported, in Poltava, a man was trying to resist an arrest by threatening police officers with a grenade.
He took a law enforcement officer hostage. As of now, he is moving towards Kyiv, his car is accompanied by law enforcement officers.
