The Spanish government also wrote on Twitter that 38 people were wounded in the clashes with the police.
“38 people asked for medical help, three of them are seriously injured,” the statement says.
As it was reported earlier, a referendum on Catalonia independence is held today, at the backdrop of clashes with the police. The Spanish government doesn’t recognize the referendum and called it illegal. The law enforcers are trying to prevent the referendum from happening.
