Police detains 5 Ukrainians in annexed Crimea

The detention was carried out by representatives of armed riot police

The police detained five citizens of Ukraine during a police raid on one of the markets in the occupied Simferopol. Radio Liberty reporter Anton Naumlyuk wrote this on Facebook, citing local sources.

"At east five people with Ukrainian passports were arrested today at the market Privoz in Simferopol during a police raid. Witnesses saw they were taken away. After that no information has appeared. People are scared, and do not want to talk about the incident anymore", he wrote.

The Lawyer of the political prisoners in Crimea Emile Kurbedinov also reported about the detention.

"At least 5 people were arrested during a raid today in Simferopol on the market Privoz", he wrote on the social network.

Photos from places of detention were published by the Center for Human Rights Information. There's also been reported that the raid was carried out on the market by armed members of the riot police.
