Police detained a citizen of the Russian Federation who escaped from the detention during the transfer to the remand center as the National Police of Kyiv region reported.

“The personnel of Vasylkivsky police unit was put on the alert for the search of the perpetrator; the additional forces were attracted from surrounding territorial detachments of police, pedestrian and mobile patrols, special forces soldiers and dog handlers were involved,” the police noted.

The detainee was transferred to the remand center, where he will expect the decision of the court on the restrictive measure.

Moreover, the foreigner will respond according to the legislation of Ukraine for an escape from the custody. The police opened the criminal case due to escape from the detention facilities or custody. The sanctions provide 3-5 years of imprisonment.
