In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained two Egyptian citizens - kidnappers of the son of a diplomat, a citizen of the Republic of Libya. This was reported by the head of the Main Department of the National Police in Kyiv, Andriy Kryshchenko, the press service of the capital's police reports.
"Within two days, the criminal police in Kyiv, together with the Shevchenko Police Department, conducted investigative and operational activities, and detained two people who kidnapped the young man and held him in the garage, caused injuries, and demanded money from him. Egyptians, they are living on the territory of Ukraine for several years," said Kryshchenko.
According to him, the detainees refused to give any explanations. At that time, they were detained in accordance with article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and the investigators will appeal to the court to choose a measure of restraint.
"They clearly understood who they had abducted, and tried to contact the victims' parents," Kryshchenko said.
Earlier law enforcers found a son of a Libyan diplomat kidnapped in the center of Kyiv. This was reported by the head of the City Police, Andriy Kryshchenko, the press service reports in Facebook.
"Police have established the whereabouts of the kidnapped man. He has minor injuries. Now investigators are working with him.." - he said.
According to Kryshchenko, at the moment police is finding out who forced the man to sit in the car.

"About 12:00 Shevchenkivsky police department began to receive messages from witnesses that on Turhenivska street two unknown people forcibly put an unidentified man in a dark color car and drove off the scene," the report said.

As reported 112.ua in the press service of the Kyiv police, the abducted person is a Libyan citizen Abdusalam, born in 1992, the son of the financial attaché of the Libyan embassy in Ukraine. At the place of abduction, the police seized a passport with the name of Abduslam.
People's Deputy, a member of the board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Anton Herashchenko in the comment to "112 Ukraine" suggested that the kidnapping was committed for the purpose of ransom - in connection with the "financial capabilities of the family."
