Police uncovered a luxury casino in the basement of a hotel in Solomianka Raion in Kyiv. This was reported on the official website of the National Police.

A player bought a "ticket” if he wanted to get inside the club and play poker. The cost of the ticket was $ 1,000.

"If the client won, he could enrich himself with hundreds of thousands of US dollars. The prize fund reached 150 thousand USD,” the police report said.

The detectives and investigators from Kyiv Prosecutor's Office together with the soldiers of the regiment of special purpose police conducted authorized searches at night. There were 19 players and club employees in the VIP-casino. Law enforcement officers seized 7 poker tables and 1.9 thousand of gaming chips of different values.

The measures are currently being taken to establish the organizers of the illegal business.
