The police of Kyiv region detained a married couple, Yulia Mayboroda and Vadym Lobko. They killed pets, posing themselves as volunteers who save animals. The arrest took place in Baryshivka district, Kyiv region.

'Thanks to the caring stance of the animal rights and activists, the police identified the fake volunteers who allegedly 'took care' of the high-bred dogs and cats; instead, they tortured slaughtered them with extreme brutality. The malefactors were detained and handed over to the police as they (flayers, - 112 International) transported the deceased animals in their car', the report says.

The police initiated an investigation in the case and assigned the respective expertise checks. The deceased cats and dogs are handed over to the doctors so that the cause of death may be defined.

Animal rights defender Svitlana Lavrykova added that the arrested may still be hiding some animals; they do not disclose the place where they keep them.
