The Polish authorities are planning a number of measures to facilitate foreigners' access to the local labor market. Dziennik.pl. reported citing the Deputy Minister of Development, Labor and Technology of Poland Iwona Michałek.
It is noted that Poland plans to shorten the time needed to obtain a permit and reduce formalities to facilitate the employment of foreigners. Moreover, full electronification of procedures related to obtaining a work permit for foreigners was announced. At the same time, work is being carried out on the country's new migration policy.
“We want foreigners to be able to come to Poland easily and start working here, especially in professions where we lack labor,” Deputy Minister noted.
Iwona Michałek added that there is a great demand of entrepreneurs for foreign workers. She noted that employees from Ukraine and Belarus are assessed very positively by employers.
As it was reported earlier, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) stated that in 2020, the volume of remittances of labor migrants to Ukraine amounted to 12,121 billion dollars, which is 200 million dollars more than in 2019.
