Girl went into coma after poisoning in summer camp

The Condition of a poisoned girl on July 2 in a camp near Kyiv  is still serious. Oleksandr Urin, the Head of Intensive Care and Acute Intoxication Department of Ohmatdyt clinic claimed this to journalists. 112 Ukraine was broadcasting the briefing.

She is still on a respirator. There are many issues with her condition because she has a failure of several organs and systems. This is an extremely serious condition. She is in a coma. There is a slight improvement of the condition against the background of the therapy that gives us hope,’ he said.

Parents of the child did not allow to disperse the information on the diagnose and the girl’s health, the doctor added.

The other poisoned children didn’t seek a medical assistance, according to him.

Reportedly, the mass poisoning of children took place in Slavutych, the private camp in Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi district. 12 children have suffered. The administration of the camp dines that children got poisoned in their cafeteria. Issued by the coaches the spoiled yogurt caused poisoning of children, the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection claimed.

The Prosecutor’s Office in Kyiv region opened criminal proceedings over violation of sanitary rules and regulations regarding the prevention of infectious diseases and mass poisonings.
