The black box from the Boeing 737-524 has been recovered in Indonesia. It was detected thanks to the radio signal coming from the flight recorder, Detik reported.

The plane crash took place not far from the Indonesian capital on January 9 - several minutes after the aircraft took off. The aiplane that belonged to Sriwijaya Air was on its way from Jakarta to Pontianak. 62 passengers were on board. The aircraft crashed near Lucky island.

According to FlightRadar24, before the signal was lost, the plane lost three kilometers of altitude.

The investigation is underway.

In 2018 in Indonesia, the passenger plane Boeing 737 of the Lion Air airline fell into the sea. Boeing flew from Jakarta to Pangkalpinang (Indonesia). 13 minutes after takeoff, the plane lost contact with ground services. Before the accident, the Boeing 737 crew requested permission from the air traffic control service to return to the airport.

There were 189 people on board. They all died. Later it was reported that Lion Air's Boeing 737 Max 8 collapsed from a strong impact on the surface of the Java Sea.
