The Russian border guards confiscated a pistol from a citizen of Ukraine during the cross of the checkpoint at the administrative border with annexed Crimea as TASS reported citing the FSB Border Guard Division.
"After the check of the documents for the cross of the state border with Russia, an owner of Ford car provided her car for the check, during which, the border guards found a pistol of unknown model and eight 9-mm bullets under the driver's seat," the message said.
It was noted that the Ukrainian intended to cross "Armiansk" checkpoint.
"A woman explained the presence of the items forbidden for the passage via the border and said that her father owns it and used to take it for the self-defense," the division noted.
The Russian "border guards" confiscated the weapon for the expert study. However, a woman was not detained.
