Scramble Magazine aviation outlet publishes the photos of crash wreck of Ukraine's Sukhoi Su-27, which crashed in Zhytomyr region on December 15, taking life of a pilot. Scramble Magazine post that on their Facebook page.
"The scramble was provided with some pictures of the crash wreck of the Su-27 in Ukraine in which the pilot was killed. In the photo's you see Su-27 code 55 blue, c/n 36911021308, of 831 Guards Tactical Aviation Brigade, resting in the fields just outside Ozerne Airfield (Ukraine) in between the approach beacons," – reads the message.
The outlet doesn’t provide the source of the photos, saying that the cause of the crash is likely pilot’s mistake.
“The cause of the crash, which occured on 15 December 2018, is still not known. It is likely the pilot was not aware of his aircraft's actual altitude. The Flanker itself is not completely destroyed and it clearly skidded through the fields horizontally. The Flanker was homebased at Myrhorod,” Scramble Magazine writes.

As we reported earlier, a Ukrainian Su-27 fighter jet crashed at around on December 15 while attempting to land during a scheduled flight. Oleksandr Fomenko, a pilot, Major, 43 died. He was chief of the air combat training unit of the tactical aviation brigade of the Air Command Center of the Air Force of Ukraine.
The military prosecutor's office opened criminal proceedings under the Violation of Aviation Safety Rules article 416 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code of Ukraine.
