The Anti-Monopoly Committee of Ukraine fined owners of a pharmacy for production and spread of fake medication from coronavirus. The sum charged by the Committee made just a bit more than USD 1,000. Oleksiy Khmelnytsky, the Chief of Kyiv regional territorial branch of the Committee posted that on Facebook.
"Today, we decided to fine owners of the pharmacy for production and spread of the drug promoted as the "anti-coronavirus medication". They called it simple, "Anti-Coronavirus". Back in March, users of social netwotk reacted, causing the wave of public outrage, and that's when we started the investigation", he wrote.
According to the inquiry organized by the Committee, people who bought this drug thought that the drug could prevent ot treat the disease.
Currently, Ukraine is developing four drugs against coronavirus.
