A cargo plane landed at Kyiv international airport, carrying the batch of Pfizer vaccine. It's the first batch procured for the government funds, UNIAN reports.

It is the Comirnaty vaccine produced by Pfizer/BioNTech, says the message.

Now, the vaccine is supposed to pass the customs control area; then, it will be sent to storages and redistributed across the regions of Ukraine.

On May 25, 16,387 people received their shots against coronavirus. Press office of Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry reported that on Wednesday morning.

987,193 people got inoculated in Ukraine since the beginning of the inoculation campaign; 97,391 of them have successfully completed the vaccination course. Two people received one of their doses abroad.

As of May 26, 590,133 people are on the waiting list, waiting for their shots. 

In early May, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the majority of citizens should complete the vaccination course before the Independence Day; so, the vaccination rate should be increased.
