Pfizer became the fourth company that filed its appeal to register its vaccine against coronavirus in Ukraine. Mykhailo Babenko, the director of State Expert Centre of Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry reported that in the commentary for Interfax-Ukraine agency.
"Today, Pfizer Manufacturing Belgium filed an appeal for state registration of Comirnaty vaccine, under the commitment for urgent medical use. The appeal was quickly registered and handed over to the State Expert Centre and to check registration materials", Babenko said.
According to him, currently, there are also registration appeals from Sinovac Life Sciences company (China) and Serum Institute of India.
Earlier, it became known that another appeal for registration of Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine was filed in Ukraine.
Previously, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal claimed that there are only three companies that can store this company's vaccine in due conditions.
The massive vaccination in Ukraine was supposed to begin on February 15. However, it was postponed because supplies of Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines are delayed, as Shmygal put it.
