Some citizens of Ukraine want MP from the Servant of People party, Yevhen Brahar, who advised the pensioner to sell her dog in order to pay for the use of public utilities, to be deprived of his deputy mandate. This is stated in the text of the petition, which was published on the President’s website.
The petitioner stated that Brahar is not supposed to be in Verkhovna Rada.
"Yevhen Brahar has no place in Verkhovna Rada," the petitioner wrote.
As of 10:40, February 4, the petition has already received 110 votes out of the 25,000 required for consideration. Ukrainians have 90 more days to sign the petition.
As we reported earlier, Yevhen Bragar offered the woman to sell her dog to pay for the use of public utilities, as he spoke with the TV show's audience. Answering the question of a pensioner from the Kirovohrad region regarding how to live on a pension of 2 000 UAH (80 USD) and at the same time pay utility bills, Brahar suggested she should sell the dog if she has any.
“Living in these conditions is difficult, but we still do not know if she has any other property. [...] If there is a dog of the elite breed, then she can sell it at any time and easily pay,” the MP said.
