Perpetrators detained for murder of 3-year-old boy in Kyiv notified on suspicion

They face from 15 years in jail or a life sentence

The law enforcers notified suspicion to two perpetrators who shot at the car and killed 3-year-old son of regional council lawmaker Vyacheslav Sobolev as Kyiv National Police reported.

The detainees are notified about the suspicion in the commitment of the intentional homicide of a young child committed in order with prior agreement of a group of people.

They face from 15 years in jail or a life sentence.

Earlier it was reported that two suspects in the attempted murder of Kyiv regional council lawmaker Vyacheslav Sobolev and murder of his son.

The media reports indicate that the attackers are two young men in their twenties. Some reports say the men served with the Right Sector, the nationalist organization that helped the Ukrainian army repel Russian aggression in Ukraine.

Earlier, a three-year old child was shot dead, when a Range Rover was attacked in Kyiv downtown. Vyacheslav Sobolev, the deputy of the Kyiv Regional Council and a restaurant owner was driving the car under fire.

The shooting occurred on Tolstova street in downtown Kyiv. Vyacheslav Sobolev personally said that in his commentary to TSN.

The man also added that his son was shot dead in a shooting. Sobolev reported no other details.
