Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Dr. Anthony Fauci recommends people who overcame coronavirus to get two vaccinations as CNN reported.
“People who had Covid-19 should still follow the current FDA guidance, which is two shots either 21 or 28 days apart,” Fauci stated.
He assured that the vaccination is safe for people who recovered from Covid-19 and should get it.
Because re-infection is uncommon 90 days after initial infection, a person can delay vaccination until the end of that 90-day period, if desired.
Preliminary research showed that after the first dose of the vaccine, people, who were earlier infected by the virus, usually, have higher rate of antibodies that people who received two doses of the vaccine but never been infected.
As we reported, people with mental disorders have at least twice higher risk of death from coronavirus.
