People rally for sex workers rights protection in Kyiv

The aim is to protect the rights of the sex industry workers and suggesting to lift administrative penalty for prostitution

Several dozens of people that claim to be the workers of the sex industry held a rally in the Kyiv center to fight for their rights. The rally is dedicated to the International Day to End Violence against Sex Workers, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

The rally participants walked on the governmental quarter of Kyiv, stopping in front of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and President's Administration buildings.

The protesters say the aim of this action is to protect the rights of the sex industry workers and suggesting to lift administrative penalty for prostitution under Art. 181 - 1 of Administrative Violations Code of Ukraine.
