The peak incidence of Covid-19 in Ukraine may begin from April 14-15, if urgent measures are not taken, as Deputy Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko stated.
"If we do not take more stringent restrictive quarantine measures, then we can expect a peak in the morbidity from April 14-15. This can lead to a large mass flow of patients, seriously ill patients to medical institutions and lead to a large number of negative consequences, in particular fatal ones," Lyashko said at a briefing on Saturday.
He said that 154 new cases of Covid-19 infection were confirmed in Ukraine on April 3, 10 of them were detected among children.
92 people were hospitalized, including four children and six paramedics.
In total, over the past day, 636 reports of suspicion were received, which is almost twice as much as the previous day.
As of 10:00 on April 4, 1096 laboratory-confirmed cases of infection with the Covid-19 coronavirus were recorded in Ukraine. Out of these, 28 were fatal. 23 patients recovered. 154 new cases were recorded and confirmed per one day.
