Bartholomew signs Tomos of autocephaly of Orthodox Church of Ukraine

The ceremony of signing the Tomos of autocephaly of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine was held in Istanbul, 112 Ukraine broadcasted the event. 

The Ukrainian delegation led by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and primate of the UOC Metropolitan Epifaniy were at the ceremony of the signing.

A prayer service was held prior to the signing the Tomos; the service lasted 20 minutes.  

Tomorrow, January 6, a divine liturgy will take place in St. George's Cathedral, after which the Tomos will be passed to Metropolitan Epifaniy.
