President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the adoption of a law for the development of domestic tourism in Ukraine. The Parliament is supposed to pass it until July 15. The head of the state announced this during a working trip to Kherson region, as 112 Ukraine reports.
According to Zelensky, the Parliament should pass the bill before the holidays on July 15.
“We need to develop our domestic Ukrainian tourism - and now, we faced all these quarantine restrictions. Quarantine is a big minus, a big problem, an economic worldwide tragedy, but there is an opportunity to see our country, there is something [we have] to show,” the President said.
He also noted that in the coming days, there will be a program for the development of domestic tourism on the government level.
“We have many castles that we want to show. Now we are working to have them rebuilt and repaired, and museums that have not been paid attention to for many years, unfortunately. Askania-Nova will be part of the program to support Ukrainian parks,” the head of the state added.
In addition, Zelensky announced the abolition of the visa regime for some Western countries whose citizens plan to visit Ukraine for tourist purposes.
As we reported before, in Ukraine, the tourism industry will be developed according to the standards of the European Union.
