Over million people receive first dose of coronavirus vaccine in Ukraine

Since the start of the vaccination campaign in Ukraine, more than a million people have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

"Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 1,008,859 people have been vaccinated, of which 1,008,857 people received one dose, 123,964 people were fully immunized and received two doses (two of them received one dose abroad). A total of 1,132,821 vaccinations were carried out," the message says.

As of May 29, 2021, 600,000 people entered the waiting list for vaccination against Covid-19.

Meanwhile, over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 3,096 new cases of Covid-19, including 144 children and 55 healthcare workers.

1,309 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 156 patients deceased, and 10,199 recovered. 16,097 tests have been taken.

Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Kyiv city (377), Dnipropetrovsk (261), Lviv (231), Kyiv (197) and Zaporizhia (170) regions.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2,199,769 people have contracted the disease, 2,030,415 have overcome it, 50,388 - have succumbed to it.
