That number includes 429 aviation bombs, which were dropped during the WWII

Since the beginning of this year, pyrotechnicians of Ukraine’s State Emergencies Service seized and destroyed 73,709 explosive items, 429 of these are aviation bombs. The press department of the governmental agency reported that on Wednesday morning.

‘Recently, specialists destroyed two old artillery shells in Kirovohrad region, central Ukraine, which date back to the WWII. Earlier this week in Mykolaiv region, the special task force cleared 6,000 square kilometers from landmines, seizing and disposing of 56 items,’ the Service reported.     

Besides, rescue teams continue to clear mines in the liberated areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
