Due to multiple breaks in the heating system in Kharkiv, 666 buildings in two districts of the city were left without heating on the night of Feb. 24-25, according to the local emergency service.
It is noted that the first breakage of the heating system happened at around 15:00 in Nemyshliansky district of the city, and two more happened later on, at 21:00 on Feb. 24 and at 2:00 on Feb. 25.
“As of 7:00 on Feb. 25, 144 buildings remain without heat - 129 housing developments, 7 kindergartens, and 3 schools,” the report said.
Long exploitation of the heating system is said to be the cause of the accidents.
It’s worth pointing out that just three days ago, on Feb. 22, there also was an accident, due to which over 400 houses were left without heat.
