"61.7% of Ukrainians support the current legal enactment regarding the provision of services in the Ukrainian language. 34% do not support it, and another 4.2% are not able to decide," the statement said.
Thus, the above-mentioned innovation is supported mostly by residents of the western and central regions of the country (79.4% and 66.2%, respectively), while residents of the east tend to show different results (38.8% approve it, 55.8% do not support). In the south, 49% of the residents support the provision of services in the Ukrainian language.
As we reported earlier, the entire service sector was obliged to switch to the state language from January 16.
At the request of customers, the information in the service sector can be duplicated in any other language.
The actual legislation prescribes one and only possible case when personal service can be carried out in another language - if the client himself asks for it.
