Later, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified that a total of 51 people had been detained throughout the country.

As we reported earlier, Svetlana Tsikhanouskaya, the leader of the Belarusian opposition, has announced the beginning of a peaceful revolution in the country.

"We are no longer the opposition. We represent the majority. A peaceful revolution is taking place now," she said.

Tsikhanouskaya believes that she should support the protesters, but she will not run for the presidency again.

“I did not see myself as a politician during the campaign, but I pushed myself forward. I do not see myself in politics. I am not a politician,” the former presidential candidate said.
