In Lviv region, the capacity of beds in the medical facilities exceeds 50%, as 112 Ukraine TV channel reported citing Health Minister Maksym Stepanov.
According to Stepanov, the Health Ministry has already started to deploy the hospitals of the second wave in the region; they might admit 10,000 patients.
“It is the third day in a row when the hospitals in Lviv region are crowded for over 50%. In other words, beds allocated for Covid-19 treatment filled for over 50%. We have started to deploy the second wave of the hospitals. Of course, the second wave of prepared hospitals is powerful; about 10,000 beds are provided. At the same time we should understand that no matter how we suppose, there is some limit,” the minister said.
During the past 24 hours, the highest growth of infected with coronavirus is observed in the Lviv region – 161 cases.
As of August 11, 83,115 cases of coronavirus observed in Ukraine. 1,158 Covid-19 cases were registered during the past 24 hours. Totally, 44,943 (+575 in 24 hours) people recovered from the coronavirus; while 1,951 (+29 in 24 hours) people died from the complications caused by Covid-19.
