Over 30.000 Hasidim celebrated 5780th New Year in Ukraine

Over 30,000 Hasidic pilgrims celebrated Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year in Ukraine, as the Border Guard Service reported.

According to the border guards, another 5,000 Hasidic pilgrims aiming to Uman were processed during the past 24 hours.

Since the beginning of the arrival of the pilgrims (September 6), the border guards processed over 30.000 during the entrance to Ukraine. Hasidim started to arrive massively on September 25.

“Starting from tomorrow the believers will begin to return home. The mass departure is expected on October 2-4. The border guards will provide extra staff and equipment for the checkpoints passed by Hasidim to leave Ukraine,” the message said.
