The ministry noted that as of January 3, there are 809,073 doses of vaccines against measles, mumps and rubella, including 392,200 doses made in the U.S., which were sent to the regions of Ukraine. The supply of the vaccines to the western regions of Ukraine where the highest incidence is observed is prioritized.
As we reported 54,481 (20,204 adults and 34,277 children) people got sick with measles in 2018.
15 people, including four adults and eleven children, died from the complications of the disease.
Earlier, we reported that a three-year-old boy died from measles at Odesa City Infectious Diseases Hospital. He became the third child in Odesa who died from this disease in 2019. In total, four residents of Odesa died from measles.
