As of May 21, 107,000 people received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine in Kyiv. The mayor of the capital Vitali Klitschko stated this during a briefing.

It is noted that 6,500 Kyiv citizens have completed the full course (two doses of the vaccine) of Covid immunization since the beginning of the vaccination campaign.

"In Kyiv, as in other regions of the country, vaccination against Covid-19 continues. Vaccinations in the capital are made with Coronavac vaccines, AstraZeneca (Korean-made) and Pfizer, provided by the Ministry of Health. More than 107,000 people vaccinated in the capital, more than 6,500 Kyiv citizens have already received the second dose of the vaccine," Kyiv Mayor said.

He noted that doctors, social workers, the elderly, and the military were mostly vaccinated in the capital. Educators are also vaccinated - first of all, those who are involved in the organization and conduct of External Independent Evaluation.

As it was reported earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said that Ukraine will receive 50 million euros from the EIB for vaccination.
