On Monday, 106 schools suspended the education process in Kyiv due to flu and upper respiratory tract infections, as the Department of education and science reports. According to the First Deputy of the Head of Kyiv City State Administration Mykola Povoroznyk, the official website reports.
“In particular the education process is suspended in 106 secondary schools (2841 classes), of which totally - 89 fully, 17 partially ", - he specified.
Holosiivskiy district – 2;
Darnytskyi district - only 29, 28 fully, 1 partially;
Desnianskyi district - only 25 ( fully);
Obolonskiy district – only 11, 10 fully, 1 partially;
Pecherskiy district - only 4, 3 fully, 1 partially;
Podilskiy district - only 19, 13 fully, 6 partially;
Solomenskiy- 2 (partially);
Svyatoshinskiy district - only 11, 8 fully, 3 partially;
Shevchenkivskyi district - only 3, 2 fully, 1 in part.
In general, in the capital, there is an increase in flu and URTI by 3.1%, which occurred at the expense of the children's population. 8,951 children (an increase of 9.1%) and 5,446 adults(a decrease of 5.5%) felt sick.
Povoroznyk pointed out that the incidence of flu and URTI is the lower to be epidemic by 43.2%. On the fifth week of 2019, there were registered 14,397 patients suffering from flu and upper respiratory tract infections.
"Ill children are 62.2%, and last week they were 58.8%. Among school children, the number has increased by 9.6%: there are 4,041 cases, 45.2% of the total number of ill children and 28.1% of the total number of people who asked for the medical assistance ", - said Povoroznyk.
176 people were hospitalized, 146 of them were children.
"Since the beginning of the epidemic season - October 1, 2018 - 34,813 people have been vaccinated against flu, including 9,195 children”, Mykola Povoroznyk added.
