Now in Ukraine, 170 out of 2,700 ventilators are used in the first wave of hospitals for Covid-19 patients. Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov told about this at a briefing on Saturday, July 25.
“If we are talking about hospitals of the first wave, the total number of ventilators that have been installed there today is about 2,700 machines. Now they are not too busy. In total, 170 ventilators are employed. Our doctors try to do everything not to bring a person before mechanical ventilation," Stepanov said.
According to the minister, since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine, an additional 900 ventilators have been installed throughout the country.
Stepanov also stressed that the state has provided funds in full to pay for all medicines that are used during the treatment of coronavirus infection.
As we reported before, the urgent introduction of a temporary basic income for the world's most needy people in the developing world will help slow the rise in the number of Covid-19 cases.
